The Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) now boasts of an artificial turf. The turf, easily the envy of many a state across the country was inaugurated by Kushal Das, the General Secretary of the All India Football Federation in Bangalore.
Expressing his satisfaction, Das said, “The inauguration of the turf at KSFA is a great step forward for the development of the sport in the state as well as for holding both I-League and International Matches.”
“The laying of the turf, coupled with the completion of the Goal Project would give the AIFF the much-needed training centre with a ground.”
Karnataka Football Association president AR Khaleel added: “It is a historic day for us. But there’s still a lot of work to be done. The stadium will get a makeover and Bangalore will soon get a World Class Stadium with a capacity of 40,000.”
